login as root

1- update Yum

yum update yum yum update

yum update \kernel*

check after install

cat /boot/grub/grub.conf

and then reboot the server

or

see your Kernel version 

uname -a 

after that see all  Kernel version

yum list | grep kernel

 

to update Kerneluse this command

yum update kernel-*

 

then reboot server ...
